true VOXIT <div style="font-size:12px; margin-right:12px"> <h3>VoxIt - Version 5.1 (May 2010) </h3> <img height="1" vspace="3" width="95%" src="/Images/blue.gif"/> <p>Since 1977 a public opinion poll called Vox has been carried out in Switzerland in the 2-3 weeks following each federal vote. The survey is based on a representative sample of about 1000 people that have the right to vote (around 700 up to 1987). It focuses on the interests, motivations and competence of the voters regarding the vote's object in particular and politics in general. <br> The standardized post-vote surveys <a href="http://www2.unil.ch/daris/spip.php?rubrique140&lang=en" target="_blank">VoxIt</a> are the result of an effort to harmonize the Vox polls. Due to the fact that the polls go back as far as 1977, they have changed enough over the years to require a lot of work of standardization in order to make it possible to compare the Vox polls. Since the data from the first 14 polls is not readable anymore by today's software, the series of the standardized surveys starts with the Vox poll no. 15 concerning the vote of July 14, 1981 and comprehends 2-4 surveys per year depending on the number of votes. </p> <p>About Version 5.1: New data related to federal votes from 2008 have been added. They include 3 voting events covering 10 bills or referenda. Im Zentrum der Umfrage stehen das Interesse, die Motivationen und die Kompetenzen der B&uuml;rger und B&uuml;rgerinnen, was die Abstimmung im Einzelnen und die Politik im Generellen betrifft. <br> Die standardisierten Nachabstimmungsumfragen <a href="http://www2.unil.ch/daris/spip.php?rubrique140&lang=de" target="_blank">VoxIt</a> gehen aus einem Projekt hervor, die Vox-Umfragen zu harmonisieren. Das langj&auml;hrige Bestehen dieser Umfrage brachte es auch mit sich, dass sich diese &uuml;ber die Jahre hinweg ver&auml;ndert hat, sodass eine arbeitsintensive Standardisierung notwendig war, damit ein Vergeich zweier zeitlich entfernter Vox-Umfragen m&ouml;glich gemacht werden konnte. Da die Daten der ersten 14 Umfragen mit heutiger Software nicht mehr lesbar sind, beginnt der Reihe der standartisierten Vox mit der Nummer 15 zur Abstimmung des 14.06.1981 und umfasst zwischen 2 und 4 Umfragen pro Jahr, je nach Anzahl der Abstimmungen. </p> <p>In Version 5.1 wurden die Erhebungsdaten f&uuml;r die schweizerischen Abstimmungen des Jahres 2008 zugef&uuml;gt; sie beinhalten 3 Abstimmungstemine mit total 10 Abstimmungsvorlagen.
